The LeadSafeCNY Coalition is a community-led effort to build healthier, lead-free homes and neighborhoods across Central New York.


 Who We Are?

 The LeadSafeCNY Coalition brings together families, community leaders, and organizations to eliminate lead poisoning and environmental health hazards in Central New York. Together, we focus on four core areas:

  • Housing – Safe, healthy homes for every family.

  • Health – Access to testing, treatment, and prevention.

  • Education – Empowering parents and communities with knowledge.

  • Workforce – Building skills and training for a lead-free future.

The LeadSafe CNY Coalition, housed at the United Way of Central New York, is a collaborative effort of health, housing, and community partners working to eliminate childhood lead poisoning across Syracuse and Onondaga County.

Coalition in Action

 Our coalition works through committees focused on Housing, Health, Education, and Workforce Development — bringing together experts, advocates, and families to create real solutions.

The Family Voices Advisory Council ensures that the lived experiences of parents and caregivers are at the heart of every decision we make.
